The sponging painting techniques is may apply of your next painting. Sponging is the most easy painting technique with minimum cost and really give you a different view on your wall. Everybody is able to do sponging paint.  It will give your room a different texture. And the most important things is, the sponge is easy to find at your local store.

Below is the step to start a sponging painting :

1) Paint a base coat to your room wall or any wall your plan to paint. Recommended base coat color is light grey in satin finish in latex paint.

2) Let the base coat dry overnight.

3) The paint on sponging should be darker that base coat. Maybe can choose dark blue, green, brown or light yellow. To add more effect mix the sponging color with liquid glaze.

4) Practice some sponging paint on a board or tissue. Do not jump straight to the wall. It would not waste your time for extra work after.

5) Start sponging paint to the wall. Do not press too hard to the wall.

6) Rotate the sponge to look a better sponging pattern on the all. Be consistent of rotating the sponge to get one good pattern.  Keep the pattern remain though all the wall face.

7) Wash the sponge if you feel the sponge overloaded with paint. But follow the step number 4 while wash the sponge.
