Replace a New Door by Yourself
You might be using a yellow pages while plan to replace a door. Your door might be broken or battered and need to replace. But you don’t have any experience on that. FYI, Replacing a door is the simple thing that you can do it yourself. No need ask any professional or contractor to replace a door.
General door is always held to the frame with 3 hinges. All the hinges is detach on the side of the door to the door frame. Take a screw drive and remove the screw on the hinges from the door and the door frame. You may use the hinges for new door if it still in a good condition. Or buy a new hinges to attach on the new door. Use the same size with old hinges that you just remove previously.
Measure the square fit of old door. Ensure the new door is same size with old door. Trim the new door if the size is not same and not fit to the frame. Next screw the hinges into the new door and frame. Ensure it’s accurately put same as older door location. Start to screw from the top towards the bottom. For final, fix the door locking to the new door. Now you have complete replace the new door.
Replacing the new door is can be done by anyone. But it need a lot of patient especially that the 1st time for you.
